When dealing with small companies, often just someone working on their own, or a husband and wife team, the comment we most often hear is “I have a friend who does web design - they're helping out.” This reluctance to seek professional help is most likely due to the approach taken by many web design companies, where they build a web site for their client and then charge by the hour for every minor amendment to the web site - no wonder people are put off - who wants to face more bills every other month just because you want to keep your web site up-to-date!
